MLK DAY OF SERVICE 2016

Before the Urban Releaf trucks arrived, folks were already lined up at the site: Americorps,Public Advocates, Smash Berkeley, Next Generation Academy, PG&E, Episcopal Charities, Girl Scouts, Public Allies SVSF, Civicorps, SPUR, Service For Peace, Unity Council,  volunteers and nearby neighbors.

Thanks to Assembly member Rob Bonta, Mayor Schaff, and Council Abel Guillen for providing sweat equity.Over 200 free meals were provided by Taste of Africa and Grandmas Cooking. Great music was provided by Drummer Tecuma and the In Tlanextli Tlacopan Aztec Fire Dancers.
